Radon Contractor Licensing in Connecticut
Connecticut licensing
Connecticut requires a contractor who performs radon mitigation for homeowners to hold a Home Improvement Contractor registration from the Department of Consumer Protection, and under Connecticut General Statutes Section 20-420 that registration cannot be issued unless the contractor shows radon mitigator certification from the National Radon Safety Board or the National Environmental Health Association program. The Connecticut Department of Public Health Radon Program separately maintains a list of nationally certified radon mitigation professionals.
