Radon Contractor Licensing in Virginia
Virginia licensing
Virginia requires radon professionals to be certified before working in the Commonwealth. Code of Virginia section 32.1-229.01 states that no person shall conduct or offer to conduct any radon screening, testing, or mitigation unless listed as a professional by either the National Radon Proficiency Program or the National Radon Safety Board. The Virginia Department of Health Office of Radiological Health runs the Indoor Radon Program; verify a contractor through NRPP or NRSB since those organizations issue the credential.
